The transition from a weight loss journey to a fitness one is different for everyone! These are just some common steps I have noted in my own journey and in those close to me.
Pre-Weight loss Journey
You dislike your body, you constantly think of what you want to
change, you hide behind clothes, people, food. You obsessively look at pictures
of models, or celebrities and wish you were them. You want to lose weight and
decide to start.
The Beginning
You have a vague goal of the weight you want to be but no idea
where to start. The first idea that comes to mind is not to eat and just
exercise a ton and when you are at the weight you want to be you will start
eating again. That fails. You try some cleanses, juice diets, and other fad
trends, nothing seems to work though.
First Clean Eating Steps
It is a struggle but when you eventually find the key (clean
eating and daily exercise) and you start noticing the weight coming off you
start getting excited. You start seeing a positive change and so you want more
of what caused it. Better exercise routines, new healthier recipes and you want
to see more weight loss.
The Fitness Journey Begins
You've lost even
MORE weight now, you are starting to fit into clothes you never thought
you could, you FEEL better inside and out and you are seeing improvement. The
best part of this step is you become self aware of small changes in your body.
Maybe the start of ab lines, some calf definition, or the shrinking of your
butt. Now you think what you could do if you REALLY pushed your fitness and
what to do to get even more definition.
Fitness Journey & Body Peace
This is the point where the full transition as been made. You don’t
even care about the weight anymore because you are satisfied with your
appearance and you are happy with what your body can do. You feel strong,
healthy, clean, powerful, and unstoppable. You are knowledgeable about fitness
and better eating and you now love your body for what it is and accept it.
If you find yourself somewhere on this journey or want to start it
now then feel free to message me with any questions. I will be posting my
pre-prom boot camp in a few days and it is also a great initial clean eating
challenge.
Stay strong beautiful ladies!
